Human & Digital Skills for an Uncertain Future

Latin America faces an urgent challenge: the digital divide keeps millions from decent jobs and widens inequalities of gender, geography, and socioeconomic status.

At the same time, technological acceleration is reshaping entire industries, displacing traditional roles and demanding new digital, cognitive, and socio-emotional capabilities. According to the World Economic Forum, 46 % of workers fear their skills will be obsolete within the next five years (WEF, 2023).

Without new competencies, millions risk exclusion from the jobs of the future, deepening regional inequality.

What Is Reskilling?

Reskilling is a strategic process through which people acquire entirely new capabilities to take on different roles or adapt to shifting labour-market demands. It goes beyond technical upskilling; it is an investment in human talent designed to strengthen employability and competitiveness amid rapid digital transformation and automation.

At Eidos we view reskilling as a tool that allows organisations to respond nimbly to evolving job profiles, remain relevant, and generate positive social impact. Implementing reskilling strategies not only closes skills gaps—it fuels innovation, team resilience, and sustainable futures for entire communities.

Reskilling Latam

Since 2020 Eidos Global and Microsoft have joined forces in a strategic alliance. The programme began with the goal of empowering two million working-age people across Latin America and the Caribbean with professional digital skills. Today that initial target has been surpassed: Reskilling Latam has already reached nearly three million learners throughout the region.
